Statewide Criminal History

The Statewide Criminal History is a valuable criminal record search for any background check strategy. However, because the information found in statewide repository databases are only sourced from participating counties and many times are updated infrequently and with limited information, we believe this search works better as a supplemental or secondary search versus the County Criminal History Search. With that said, the Statewide Criminal History does cast a wider net than a single county search, and thus quite possibly will find criminal records on the subject outside of the counties where they have lived. Additionally, in those states where the statewide criminal search is equivalent to a search in all local counties within that state, we consider it to be an even better search than the county criminal search.
